V obdob\u00ed 2005-2010 pracoval jako v\u011bdeck\u00fd \u0159editel Centra v\u00fdzkumu nanopr\u00e1\u0161kov\u00fdch materi\u00e1l\u016f. Od roku 2010 je gener\u00e1ln\u00edm \u0159editelem Region\u00e1ln\u00edho centra pokro\u010dil\u00fdch technologi\u00ed a materi\u00e1l\u016f na P\u0159\u00edrodov\u011bdeck\u00e9 fakult\u011b Univerzity Palack\u00e9ho v Olomouci. V roce 2010 byl jmenov\u00e1n \u010dlenem p\u0159edstavenstva Technologick\u00e9 agentury \u010cesk\u00e9 republiky (www.tacr.cz). V roce 2011 mu byla ministrem \u0161kolstv\u00ed, ml\u00e1de\u017ee a t\u011blov\u00fdchovy ud\u011blena cena za mimo\u0159\u00e1dn\u00e9 v\u00fdsledky dosa\u017een\u00e9 v oblasti v\u00fdzkumu, experiment\u00e1ln\u00edho v\u00fdvoje a inovac\u00ed.<\/p>\n

Prof. Zbo\u0159il je autorem n\u011bkolika patent\u016f a zaveden\u00fdch technologi\u00ed. V\u00fdznamn\u011b se pod\u00edlel na rozvoji technologie v\u00fdroby nano\u010d\u00e1stic nulmocn\u00e9ho \u017eeleza aplikovan\u00e9ho v modern\u00edch technologi\u00edch \u00fapravy vody (www.nanoiron.cz\/en<\/a>). Pracovala na \u0159ad\u011b v\u00fdzkumn\u00fdch projekt\u016f v\u00a0oboru sana\u010dn\u00edch technologi\u00ed se zam\u011b\u0159en\u00edm na in-situ reduktivn\u00ed dehalogenaci \u00a0kontaminant\u016f pomoc\u00ed nano\u017eeleza, \u0159e\u0161ila v\u00fdzkumn\u00e9 projekty se zam\u011b\u0159en\u00edm na \u010dist\u011bn\u00ed skl\u00e1dkov\u00fdch a d\u016fln\u00edch vod, v\u010detn\u011b popisu geochemick\u00fdch proces\u016f a geochemick\u00e9ho modelov\u00e1n\u00ed.
